Hunter Thurston

Friday, Jan 23
Hunter Thurston, my 15 yr old nephew, fell off from a moving vehicle on Thursday, January 22, 2009, and was seriously injured. Shortly thereafter, he was life-flighted to Las Vegas for specialist assistance. On Friday evening, a coma was induced in an effort to assist in the healing process. On Saturday John and I were able to sit with Hunter and give Duane and Kim a break from the hospital. While we were there Hunter stayed stable. His temp was normal and pressure on the brain stayed below 20 which is the goal. When you are in his room you are not allowed to touch him or talk. They want the brain activity to be minimal. Today family and friends are fasting for Hunter. We love Hunter and pray for a speedy recovery, so we can have more get togethers. Since we have moved here to St.George we have more opportunity to hang around the cousins more. We have done a lot of fun things like Lake mead, go to the cabin, and play games. We are so grateful for the good times. It reminds us of how precious life is and to count our blessings. Picture is Hunter and Abby at Lake Mead.
A blog has been set up to give updates on Hunter. We love you Hunter!

Sorry Dori, hadn't checked blogs in forever.
Valentines looked fun. Glad Kyle was able to see Alex. That was cool. She looked awesome.
I am so sad to hear about Hunter and I hope things are looking better.
I will also find out about girls camp as soon as I can.
Miss you guys.
