Catch up time!

Dec.25, 2008
We had a great Christmas this year. We were able to do our tradition with my sister and her family. Our families have gotten together for Christmas except for 2times. It made it the best because last year we were all alone for Christmas and it just was not the same. We appreciated Christmas this year and being closer to family. It really was the best Christmas!
The family gift from Santa was a Wii Fit and it has been so fun for our family. The kids did receive the traditional P.J's on Christmas Eve.

Dec 29,2008 Janda's came for a visit. We had a blast! We sure miss the Janda's they know how to party. We stayed up until 2:00 in morning playing games. It was hard to see them leave. I of course didn't take pictures but if you want to see some Brenda has them on her blog. When the Janda's left I was very sad, they are one of those families everyone wants in their ward/neighborhood. I really felt bad that we didn't get together with them more when we lived there close by. They are an incredible family! We miss you guys-please come see us soon!
New Years Eve night we had the party at my house. We ate and played games and ate again. My cousin Amy and her kids came and my nephew Chad and his family came. Another night of us being up until 2:00am! Just call Rogers the party animals! Of course there was rook and I am still trying to learn the game. I can't be a Thurston without playing rook. John did work but of course he hung around the house waiting for a call.

Jan 2,2009 The Elg family stopped by for a visit. The visit was way too short for us! The older girls had fun playing laser tag and golf with my brother Duane and his family. The younger girls had fun playing barbies. Stephanie and I went shopping and she introduced me to children's place in St.George. I did not know that St.George had one! Darren and John were able to kick back and watch the football game. I think it was Utah playing in some bowl game I don't know. When the game was over we got Darren and Stephanie on the Wii fit, they did some great ski jumping and hula hooping. It was sad to see The Elg's go. We miss them and hope they will make it tradition to stop by during the holidays. We loved having you visit! Please come again soon!

Dori I love you and am so inspired by you and your family. I am enjoying keeping up on what is going on with in St. George. I hope that all will be well with your nephew and that he will heal completely.
