weekend fun for the girls

This weekend my two oldest girls had a chance to go to Arizona with my sister. It was good because they were missing Arizona and needed a little pick me up. They were both able to surprise some of their friends, others found out they were coming before they got there. Regardless, they all seemed to have a good time. Kaycee, Kyle, Lyndsi, Christy, Alyson and Ashley played rock band, went to the movie Bride Wars, and on Saturday night Kaycee & Alex were able to hang out with Rachael Tassainer and played games. Ashley, Lyndsi, Alyson, and Christy hung out at Shivers. Thank you to all who help entertain my girls. No wonder they love going to Arizona so much they get spoiled rotten there!
I had a weekend of cleaning. I cleaned my house for my sister to come stay with us and then I went over to help my mom for her empty Nester's party she is having. I was able to help clean my brothers home. I was ready for some fun. I made a very yummy dinner for Sunday and had a lot of snacks and we set the table up downstairs made a fire and hung out with the kids and watched the Superbowl. We were disappointed the Cardinals lost. I usually like the commercials but this year there were only 1 or two I liked. One of them was the Doritos crystal ball one. I laughed so hard. The last 2 min of the game my girls made it home and we finished watching the game with Darla and the kids. Everyone was tired but we stayed up and watched American idol that we had taped.
Good news came last night Hunter is opening his eyes and is starting to move slightly. He is still in our thoughts and prayers. In fact Saturday night the kids were upstairs playing around having fun and Abby came down the stairs and wanted to cuddle on my lap. After a moment she looked up at me and said she was sad. I asked her why and she said because Hunter is in the hospital. My heart ached at that moment. Abby and I said a prayer for Hunter. We love Hunter and all our family!

We should plan something for the girls, because Riley and Meg would love to see their cousins! The only ones they have on my side of the family are all 5 and under.

Let us know when you're in town next! We'd love to see you!

I'm so glad to hear that your nephew has opened his eyes. I hope he recovers fully and quickly.

Dori, I love reading your blog. I'm not great at commenting, but I always read your posts.

I actually started a blog, too. It's private, so I'll have to send you an invitation, but I don't think I have your current e-mail address. Mine is jennanne81

Love ya!

Well as long as they had fun, maybe I can forgive you . . .
